The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong MATLAB experience to join our progressive and collaborative team. In this role, you will contribute to evaluation and analysis activities while developing tools that enhance both our customer and product interface.
Working closely with world-leading GNSS specialists, you will have the opportunity to build high-quality software and expand your technical expertise. Ideal candidates will have a background in Engineering or Science, a proactive mindset, and a strong desire to broaden their knowledge - particularly within GNSS technology - while aligning with our company’s Shared Beliefs.

Key Responsibilities
Actively contributes to the design, development and testing of analysis software
Take initiative and responsibility to drive product development
Learn about GNSS technology, FocalPoint’s core product/s and our customer requirements
Consider the user experience as well as the technical requirements
Participate in code reviews processes
Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered outcome
Generate ideas for product features and improvements
Your Experience
Essential
Minimum 1 year of numerical analysis or software development experience within employment or academia
Strong MATLAB programming skills
Knowledge gained through a degree or equivalent practical experience in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields. Software specific projects would be advantageous
Desirable
Familiarity with modern software tools and methods including version control systems and continuous integration systems
Experience with C++ or object-oriented programming
Experience delivering production software
